Focused on Abilities, Inspired by Diversity
Raising a neurodiverse child or teen brings both joy and complexity—from sensory needs and meltdowns to IEPs and service gaps. At Closer Horizons, we see you. You don’t have to navigate this alone.
We offer evidence and strengths-based support for children, teens, and young adults. Through counseling, skills training, and compassionate guidance, we help your child grow—and help you breathe easier.
A Decade of Experience,
A Passion for Change
After spending over 13 years working within the education system, I saw firsthand the challenges families face when seeking the right care—whether it’s counseling, specialized skills training, emotional regulation strategies, or strengths-based evaluations. I founded Closer Horizons to change that.
Our team specializes in supporting children and teens navigating neurodiversity, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and learning differences, providing the tools they need to build confidence and resilience.

Evidence-Based Skills Training & Groups
Every child and teen deserves access to tools that help them thrive—not just in school, but in everyday life. Our skills training and group sessions are designed to build real, functional strategies for navigating emotions, relationships, responsibilities, and change. Whether your child struggles with anxiety, attention, organization, or social interactions, we utilize evidence based curricula to teach skills that are relatable, relevant, and immediately useful —helping your teen build confidence and tackle everyday challenges.
Who We Work With
At Closer Horizons, we understand that every child experiences the world in their own unique way. That’s why we provide evidence based and compassionate care tailored specifically for neurodiverse children, teens, and young adults. Neurodiversity can include dyslexia, AD/HD, Autism, Down's syndrome and other brain differences such as anxiety/depression and more.
By tailoring the environment and interventions specifically to your child’s sensory profile, relational needs, and co-occurring conditions. We meet each child where they are, honoring their communication style, sensory needs, and natural ways of expressing themselves.
